Home town support?

I said earlier Heather Hardy will receive the majority of the support from the crowd in here tonight, being born and bred in Brooklyn.

However, Amanda Serrano is also a Brooklyn-based fighter. Born in Puerto Rico, the 30-year-old has spent many years in New York and will be hoping her fans will be out in full force to pull her through tonight's mega clash.

Differences between the two?

At 37, Hardy is seven years older than her opponent Serrano.

Serrano is half an inch taller and has an inch and a half longer reach.

Could any of that be telling in the fight?

Ring Walks

Here comes Amanda Serrano then. In her fluorescent gold robe, you can here the support for her beckoning from the rafters.

Suddenly the atmosphere has improved drastically.

Ring Walks

And here comes Hardy in what looks like a robe displaying the Ireland flag. She is from both Irish and Scottish descent so that would make sense.

Hardy with the support?

Introductions being made in the ring now.

'Hardy, Hardy, Hardy!' can be heard from outside the ring. Serrano receives some boos when being announced. The crowd with Hardy then?

Here we go then

We're underway!

Round One

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Serrano comes out and immediately takes centre ring. She gets her jab going but after a minute or so begins offloading on Hardy with very little coming back.

There is a barrage of right and left hooks coming in from Serrano and everyone is waiting to see whether the ref will step.

No. Hardy somehow makes it through the round. But she's in a bad way.

10-9 Serrano.

Round Two

Serrano again looks to set up the jab in the opening minute of the round.

As the seconds tick down the Puerto Rican-born fighter manages to land a few more crushing right hands clean on the face of Hardy, as well as a chopping hook to the body.

Hardy fires back with a nice left hand of her own, but Serrano looks totally unfazed by her opponent's power.

20-18 Serrano.

Round Three

Hardy's best round of the fight so far as for the first time she manages to steer clear of the ropes, bobbing and weaving the bombardment from Serrano.

She may have just done enough defensively to nick that round and show Serrano this will not be as easy as the first round may have suggested.

You do feel it's a matter of time before Serrano gets through again, though.

29-28 Serrano.

Round Four

Hardy starts to back Serrano up now as her confidence grows in the fight following that harrowing first round.

But the cleaner, crisper offence is still coming from Serrano and you do feel that while Hardy's defensive slickness will make her competitive, she may not have the power or variation of shots to trouble Serrano.

That was Serrano's round for me.

39-37 Serrano.
