Teenage boxer Mohammed Hashim killed in car crash

A young boxer has died in a car crash, aged 18.

Mohammed Hashim collided with a central reservation barrier on the M4 in Wiltshire at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning.

An unnamed female passenger, 19, was taken to Great Western Hospital with minor injuries.

Hashim, from Wales, reached a career ranking of world No 2 for his age and has won national titles.

His family released a tribute, saying: "Mohammed was an inspirational individual with good morals and ethics; he was a giver, a doer and never liked receiving.

"He was the most generous and thoughtful person anyone could meet. He had the most electrifying smile in the world, he could light up any room he entered.

"It's sad to see his life cut so short, he will be sadly missed and rest assured forever in our hearts."
