Bristol City sign Aimee Palmer on two-year contract ahead of WSL season

Women’s Super League club Bristol City have announced the signing of Aimee Palmer on a two-year contract.

The 19 year-old midfielder left the Robins in 2018 to join Manchester United where she spent two seasons and made 13 appearances.

She also had a loan spell at Sheffield United and made 12 appearances.

Palmer has also worked her way up the ranks with England and has played at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level.

On her signing, she said: "I’m very excited to be back at the club where my professional football journey started.

"I know Bristol City is a great club and I’m looking forward to getting back on the pitch and working with Tanya [Oxtoby].

“I’ve grown a lot as a player, and a person over the last two years - I can’t wait to show that this season.”

Manager Tanya Oxtoby added: "She’s a young, talented English midfielder, who has the potential to develop into a great all-round footballer.

“Aimee, like a number of players we have recruited throughout this period, not only will be a great addition from a technical and tactical point of view, but she very much fitted the character of player we were looking for moving into this season.”
