Matildas forward Caitlin Foord to be quarantined before returning to Arsenal

Matildas forward Caitlin Foord will be quarantined due to the coronavirus for two weeks before returning to the Women's Super League for Arsenal

The 25 year-old was part of the Australian squad who qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics yesterday after they beat Vietnam 7-1 on aggregate in Vietnam.

And Matildas head coach Ante Milicic confirmed that she would self-isolate after Arsenal liaised with the UK government.

Milicic said: "Caitlin Foord’s had her correspondence from Arsenal, so she’ll be in quarantine for 14 days."

Foord who signed for the defending WSL champions Arsenal in January will now miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham and a league fixture against Bristol City.

She will also miss the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain.
