Scotland international Christie Murray leaves Liverpool

Scottish international Christie Murray has announced she will leave Women’s Super League club Liverpool as her contract has expired.

Murray, 30, signed for the Reds back in 2018 from Glasgow City and has appeared 36 times for the club. She has also played for Arsenal, Bristol City and Doncaster.

She said: “Thank you to the fans for all their support during my two years with the club, they’ve been fantastic.”

And manager Vicky Jepson said: “Myself and all our backroom staff would like to thank Christie for the two years spent at our club and wish her the best of luck with the rest of her football journey.”

The midfielder and striker is the second player to reveal they are leaving the club after goalkeeper Anke Preuss said she would depart as her deal runs out in the summer.

It has not been confirmed who Murray will play for next season.
