The former Arsenal right-back was a celebrity contestant on Strictly Come Dancing this year, partnered with Neil Jones.

The star reached the quarter-finals but lost the dance off to comedian Chris Ramsey after head judge Shirley Ballas voted in favour of Ramsey and his partner Karen Haur.

After a shaky start to the season, with scores of 21 for her first two dances, Scott peaked during the Halloween week as she and Jones secured a score of 34.

When the 35-year-old was voted off of the reality show she shared her joy in an Instagram post which she captioned: "From day one we were partnered together I said it was ‘OUR’ journey, you put your heart and soul into making sure I enjoyed every single moment and I sure did!

"You really did work magic.. getting a complete beginner and taking us as far as we did. Not only did you teach.. you listened, you understood you cared. I’m so proud that I had the privilege to be your 1st ever partner on the show, but wishing next year you get someone with a little bit more experience so you can really show off how amazing you are.

"@mr_njonesofficial your really are a special human being.. keep shinning and being you always! PS we still get to dance on tour, PPS... special shout out to kev who stepped in and totally became apart of #teamred how lucky am I."

Scott and Jones will be taking part in the Strictly tour early next year.
