WSL round-up: Arsenal end Manchester City's perfect start, while Chelsea earn comeback victory at West Ham

Arsenal ended Manchester City’s 100 per cent record while Chelsea went to the top of the table with victory at West Ham in the Women’s Super League.

The Gunners' Vivianne Miedema scored the only goal of the game at Meadow Park as she finished a through ball from captain Kim Little just before half time.

The visitors did not have many chances throughout the match as Arsenal have now won 15 of their last 16 home games.

Chelsea recovered from a goal behind away from home to beat West Ham 3-1. Substitute Adriana Leon gave West Ham a shock lead in the second half with a rebound.

But goals from Sophie Ingle, a fantastic strike from Ji So-Yun and a final minute finish from Drew Spence gave the Blues all three points in convincing fashion.

Manchester United beat Reading 2-0 for their third successive victory in the league. The hosts gained the lead through Kirsty Hanson’s volley.

Reading had two free-kicks which went just over, but Jess Sigsworth converted Jackie Groenen’s assist to seal the game for United.

Kit Graham scored two stunning goals in just two minutes to give Tottenham a 2-1 win away to Bristol. Abi Harrison gave the hosts the lead in the first half inside the box.

But Graham’s strikes ensure City remain winless in eight WSL matches and Rachel Furness could have added another goal for Spurs, but her penalty was saved.

Birmingham City earned their first points of the season with a 2-0 win over Liverpool. Lucy Staniforth set up the first inside 10 minutes with a free-kick, which was headed in by Kerys Harrop. Staniforth confirmed the win late on and ensured City are unbeaten against 2013 champions Liverpool in their last four WSL meetings.

With just one point from five games, Liverpool are bottom of the league.

Everton recovered from back-to-back defeats with two goals in 10 minutes to beat Brighton 2-0. Chloe Kelly scored her fourth league goal of the season, while Esme Morgan headed in her first goal for Everton.

Brighton remain winless in the league and have just two points from five games this season.
