Midfielder Abbey-Leigh Stringer signs new two-year deal with Everton

English midfielder Abbey-Leigh Stringer has signed a new two-year deal with Women’s Super League side Everton.

The 25 year-old has been with the Toffees since 2018, joining the club from fellow top flight club Birmingham City.

Stringer has played 31 times across two seasons for Everton and been a major part of keeping them in the WSL.

She has also featured for the England national team at Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-23 level level, although is still awaiting a first team start.

Everton finished sixth in the WSL this season after the campaign was ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
