Watch England World Cup winners challenge each other to dance-offs starting with Mark Wood's 'sexy kitten'

England's cricket heroes are getting in on the #stayathome challenge with their own take on how to spend their social distancing time.

The movement was started by notorious prankster Mark Wood, who uploaded a video of himself dancing after being challenged by Joe Denly.

In the video, the fast-bowler takes to his own garden to prove to Denly, and cricket fans across the twittersphere, that he's not just a dab hand with a cricket ball, but could be next in line for Strictly Come Dancing.

Holding the selfie camera, he says: "Joe Denly challenged me to do a dance video that he thought I couldn't do.

"Well Joe, I have done it."

He then asks fans to get involved by making their own videos or recreating his (somewhat unconventional) moves.

In a backwards cap and tied up T-shirt, the Geordie narrates his moves as he performs them and appears to take particular pride in performing "the sexy kitten" which involves getting down on all fours arching and curling his back.

The new-found dancing king then performs 'the worm' until out of shot and finishes by saying: "Well that's it, bit of a laugh. Have a go."

He finishes the video with a challenge for both Denly and fellow World Cup bowler Liam Plunkett telling them, 'I expect yours done in the morning. 100 per cent'.

Liam Plunkett took up the challenge with full gusto and posted a video of his own dance routine complete with red ribbon and balletic leaps to Chariots of Fire.

The nominations from Plunkett went to Jason Roy, David Willey and Chris Woakes and opening batsman Roy has delivered on all counts.

Re-enacting the iconic 'Vote for Pedro' scene from Napoleon Dynamite, the Surrey player showed off his acting skills dressed in full costume.

No news yet on who is next, but if the first three are anything to go by...
