Eilidh Doyle finishes season due to pregnancy

Eilidh Doyle will not be competing for the rest of the season as she has announced she is expecting a baby in January 2010.

The 32-year-old, who won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 x 400m relay in Rio in 2016 will not be taking to the track to compete for another medal in Tokyo.

But the Scottish 400m indoor and outdoor record holder has assured fans she will get back to competing.

I'm not retiring yet, I'm planning to get back.

She announced the news to her twitter followers.
