Watch Alyssa Healy assure fans she's not done yet and gush about husband Mitchell Starc flying back to witness World Cup win

Fresh off the back of a World Cup winning innings, Alyssa Healy assured fans she is not retiring just yet and shared her appreciation at husband Mitchell Starc flying back from South Africa to support her.

Speaking to Fox Sports Australia, the player of the match was asked if Starc's commitment was because she would be bowing out of the sport following her 'innings of a lifetime'.

"Well I am sort of nudging 30 now and I feel like every game could be your last," she joked, quickly adding, "there's no talk of retirement yet. I've still got a little bit left."

Australian fans will be relieved to hear their star wicketkeeper and batter, who scored 75 from 39 and took the crucial catch of Shafali Verma, is planning on staying around.

Healy has been married to Australian pace-man Starc since 2016. He flew back from South Africa, missing his ODI on Saturday, to watch his wife.

Not wanting to elevate her husband's ego too much, Healy joked: "It helps when you're already 2-0 and the game's not important.

"It was really nice," she added. "We had two boxes full of family and friends of mine and to have them there experiencing that alongside us was extra special and it's something that they'll never forget and we'll never forget."
