New Zealand's light heavyweight world title holder Geovana Peres calls out undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields

WBO World Light Heavyweight champion boxer Geovana Peres has told undisputed middleweight queen Claressa Shields she wants to 'get it on' in the ring.

The Kiwi, who has held her 175 pound division belt since March, holds a record of eight wins and one loss in her professional career, with her only defeat coming on her debut in 2017.

And at the age of 42 Peres is aware she needs to get the big fights soon, so she called out Shields, who holds all four belts in the 160 pound division, on her Facebook page as she looks to build a potential clash.

She said: "Please Share!!! Let's get this happening... Claressa Shields had responded before the Lani Vs Geovana WBO World title fight put on by (Rival Sports Promotions) that she would fight either of the winners. 

"Well time is now, team Pere's want the fight. Its 2020 let's make it happen........."

Shields must first take care of her opponent Ivana Habazin in Atlantic City on January 10, which is down at 154 pounds.

There is also talk the American superstar could fight British contender Savannah Marshall at either 160 or 168.
