Rangers sign Northern Ireland footballer Demi Vance and Scotland's Jenna Fife

Northern Ireland midfielder Demi Vance and Scotland goalkeeper Jenna Fife have both signed for Rangers ahead of their 2020 campaign.

Vance has joined from Irish Premiership side Glentoran, where she helped her team achieve the domestic treble this year - the Irish Cup, Country Antrim Cup and League Cup.

The 28 year-old has 60 caps to her name and was recently awarded Women's Player of the Year by the Northern Ireland Football league.

She told Rangers TV: "First and foremost we want to win the league. I think that is what we are all striving for which is good because I think everyone has the same goal and we want to get to Champions League football.

"I think it will be a bit surreal, playing with my friends in the street when I was younger I always used to wear Rangers kit, so to be playing professionally at the club is a dream."

Rangers women's football manager Amy McDonald said: "Demi is an established international, who at 28-years-old, is in the prime of her career and brings bags of experience and talent."

Fife has joined Rangers with a two-year deal from Hibernian Ladies, where she has played since 2013.

The 23 year-old has made four appearances for Scotland and was part of the World Cup squad this summer.

McDonald said: "To welcome Jenna to Rangers shows the ambition we have for this team.

"Securing a top class goalkeeper was very important to us and to do it so early in the close season is brilliant."
